You may be wondering:

  • As of Semester 1 2026, we are only accepting bookings from schools within the state of Victoria. If your school is located in another state and you wish to partner with us in the future, please let us know.

  • We can accommodate small and large group sizes depending on the preferences of each school.

  • Our workshops run for approximately 60 minutes, but can be adjusted depending on each school’s needs.

  • We currently offer workshops for students in years 10-12. If you are interested in us running workshops for students in years 7-9, let us know!

  • Although some examples and resources provided in our workshops are specifically relevant for VCE students, the skills we teach are relevant to all students.

  • We strive to make our workshops accessible for students from all schools. Please note that small bookings at regional schools will incur a travel levy. Contact us for a quote.

  • No. Our workshops teach skills that assist the use of any generative AI service, at any subscription tier. In our post-workshop resources, we even provide specific tips on how to maximise the free functionalities of different generative AI tools.

  • Our workshops comply with the Victorian Department of Education’s Generative AI Policy (2024), and we will work with your school to ensure that the messaging in our workshops are personalised to any of your special rules, policies or stances.

  • Even though our in-workshop examples may not refer specifically to the technology used at your school, our workshops provide students with skills that empower them to use any generative AI tool effectively. We also provide post-workshop resources with prompt templates and workflow optimisation tips for a range of different commonly used generative AI services.

  • Through participating in our workshops, students develop a robust understanding of the risks of relying on AI-generated output and an awareness that they are personally responsible for verifying the accuracy of it. To reduce these risks, we encourage students to use generative AI to assess how well they are meeting their teachers’ feedback, narrowing the scope for error, and to consult with their teachers before implementing AI-generated feedback.

  • Most students already use generative AI tools but lack guidance on how to use them appropriately. Teaching them about the risks of using these tools and how to use them effectively promotes a balanced approach which discourages over-reliance.

  • Genesis Education is committed to strict compliance with policy and alignment with guidance under the Victorian Department of Education’s Generative AI Policy (2024). For more information please click here.
